Real Alternative Player
The Real Player Alternative is a good player without the need to download and use the very clumsy Real Player. This player plays all Real Media files on your computer and is very easy to install and use. The Real Alternative Player plays RealAudio (.ra .rpm), RealMedia (.rm .ram .rmvb .rpx .smi .smil), RealText (.rt), ReadPix (.rp). These are format which the Media Player classic cannot play.
The current limitations on this Real Alternative Player is that it will only play the first few seconds from the .smi and .smil files. It also does not do streaming video very well and it is best to use the Media Player Classic if you want to use stream media from the internet.
